I like the idea of going through multiple platforms! I wish I'd done this with twitter, since a lot of people ended up there. I have a new twitter now and have tried reconnecting with some fandom friends, but one of them doesn't seem to get that I've added her, and she doesn't accept DMs. I have found a few old friends on Facebook.

I think the problem with sites is that even if they are created with a fandom purpose, a bigger company who takes it over doesn't necessarily understand fandom. And as I understand it, tumblr was never really meant for fandom, it just became a fandom hub, so that makes it more confusing.
