May the 4th Exchange Letter

Dear Yoda,

Thank you so much for creating a story or artwork for me! I've tried to give prompts appropriate for both, as much as possible. Keep in mind that all of these prompts are suggestions which can be mixed and matched in any combination, not must-haves; I'd love to receive whatever you feel excited and enthused about making.

• Ratings & Content: For fic, I'm happy to read any rating from General to Explicit; smut for any of the ship-based requests would be great. For visual media, I prefer suggestive over explicit, i.e. nudity without a focus on genitalia, blood but no heavy gore/wounds.


• General art likes: semi-formal portraits—basically, any excuse to see character(s) in fancy clothes!; in-universe propaganda; strong colour & lighting contrasts; snow/winter scenes; napping together or bed-sharing


• General fic likes: huddling for warmth; trapped on a damaged spaceship or stranded on a deserted planet; weird uses & side-effects of the Force (including "the Force made them do it"); hair touching/washing/braiding


• My general likes haven't changed much over the years, so feel free to look through other exchange letters in this journal or my Tumblr if you'd like more hints


• DNWs: non-con/rape (dubcon fine if prompted); modern and mundane AUs (canon-divergent and fixit AUs are great); character or ship bashing; V-shaped threesomes; completely tragic endings (bittersweet or ambiguous are fine)

Galen Erso/Lyra Erso, Galen/Lyra/Saw Gerrera
Expeditions to deep cave systems in search of new kyber deposits; clandestine meetings in the Erso home on Lah'mu; any exploration of Lyra's belief in the Force and how that affected her decisions; Galen remembering better times while in captivity—perhaps the others haunt him (figuratively or supernaturally)

I've read Catalyst, so feel free to draw from it if you like, but I'd also love to see your own take on the story of how a geologist and an experimental physicist met and fell in love. Did they choose to have a child, or was Jyn an accident? What made them trust Saw enough to choose him as her surrogate parent if they were captured?
I'm always here for a Lyra lives! AU, whether that means all three of them are taken captive or Lyra escapes with Jyn.


Cassian Andor/Jyn Erso/Bodhi Rook, Cassian/Jyn/Leia Organa
Any kind of mission fic, sharing a quiet moment on base/a ship in transit, undercover-as-married, hurt/comfort tropes, competence kink, the other two gang up on Cassian (however you care to interpret that)

What I love about both of these ships are the balances and contrasts, their varied strengths, and how well they'd fit together to support each other. They're all very different on a surface level, but there are fascinating parallels to be drawn from how each of them has been immersed in war since childhood.


Jyn Erso & Lyra Erso
What were Lyra's religious beliefs and did she (try to) pass them on to Jyn? Was Lyra Force-sensitive in some way, or a Jedi initiate? Playing together—mock lightsaber battles.

I love that they resemble each other both physically and in character: Lyra's fierce courage & impulsivity certainly seems to be echoed in Jyn.

Jyn Erso & Saw Gerrera
Saw teaching small Jyn a skill (combat-related or peaceful); the final goodbye, even though Jyn doesn't know it

Saw Gerrera as a surrogate father fascinates me. What was he like as a parent before his paranoia became so strong? Was his relationship with Jyn strained or loving—or both?

Bodhi
Bodhi in the context of his home: how he is (or isn't?) a true child of Jedha. What did his family think of his decision to work as an Imperial pilot and become involved in the gutting of the Temple? What was his time in the Academy like? Where did he learn those gambling skills? Or, Bodhi adjusts to life in the Rebellion as an Imperial defector, and maybe encounters other Jedhans. Any AU that saves Jedha from destruction would be amazing!

Jannah
The moment she knew she had to get out: how did she convince her entire squad to come with her? How do you go from being a Stormtrooper to life on Kef Bir? The nitty gritty of building a viable community from a squadron of child soldiers: all the debates about where to settle, how to support themselves, whether to build individual houses or live communally.
Taming & learning to ride one of the orbak creatures. Does her community work to integrate other ex-FO troopers after the war?

Mon Mothma
I've said before that I'd love a thick political biography of Mon, and I stand by that! But if the thought of Senatorial maneuvering doesn't thrill you in the same way, I'd love a look at how she became part of the Rebellion. What was the first thing that made her realize she had to resist? Fierce debates with other Rebels over ends vs means? Or something small and intimate: what smashball team does she root for? How does she manage to maintain her composure? I feel she must have an excellent routine for coping with stress.

Rey
Anything about Rey's time surviving alone on Jakku. How might her Force sensitivity have manifested during her childhood? What about the Force Bond/dyad with Ben?
Making friends with anyone, especially other women in the Resistance!
"I didn't know there was so much green in the galaxy": Rey exploring lush new planets with all her eager curiosity and interest; swimming in a quiet lake or pond for the first time; gardening with her hands in the rich soil
